| BCBGENERATION IN MEMPHIS |
| MAY 22, 2010 |
|
|
BCBGeneration has made an incredible impact in the Memphis community. Not only has the University of Memphis come to love generation, but Memphis itself has developed a strong knowlegde of, and appreciate for the brand. From fashion shows, charity events, and parties; to sorority events, campus causes, etc...generation has made its presence known in Memphis. People love the brand and want to wear it. And why wouldn't you? I know I love BCBGeneration. Every time I wear a piece from the collection, people compliment me and ask me who I'm wearing. The brand stands out, it's different and people appreciate that. Zoe and I have introduced generation to Memphis this year and it has been readily accepted by everyone who has come in contact with it. I think Memphis officially has generation love...I know I do :)

| UP TILL DAWN |
| MARCH 28, 2010 |
|
|
Up Till Dawn is an event that our university has every spring semester to raisemoney for the patients ofSt. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It's such an amazing event because it brings the entire campus community together. The start of the event is actuallyduring the fall semester whenteams are put together. Each team is responsible for sending support letters to possible financial donors, andthis goes on until the finale night (Up Till Dawn)at the end of February. The finale night is a big party where thereare games, food, prizes, bands, speakers, etc. Basically, it's a lot of fun!The goal this year was to raise 1 million dollars. And I'm happy to report that yes, that goal was reached!! Zoe and I were thrilled to be part of such a wonderful cause/event. Everyone that came to our table donoted a prom dress to St. Jude and was then entered into a BCBGeneration handbag raffle. Everyone was excited that we were there and the whole night itself was amazing!! I'm so glad we were able to represent BCBGeneration at such a wonderful event.

| UNDERWEAR AS OUTERWEAR?? |
| MARCH 14, 2010 |
|
|
That's right. It's thetrendthat wason Marc Jacobs runway for spring 2010along with other designers. The "look" is to wear your bra over your top or to wear your top unbuttoned enough to wearyour brashows. It's beenanticipated as"funny and sexy." Me personally? I don'tlike it. I remember several years ago when the "slip" trend was in where you worn your slip as a dress. I thought that trend was cute, but this trend is going a little over the top. There are just some things you don't show ya know? I get where the designers are coming from but I still don't intend to participate in this look. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what people's response will be as to whether this trend will be a hit or not...what do you think??

| HERE COMES THE SUN... |
| MARCH 3, 2010 |
|
|
Yes, it's here, we all feel it. Spring. Finally those cold winter days are becoming a distant memory. Now are thedays of sunshine and freedom. As we step in to these days of spring breaks, vacations, picnics, lying in the grass gazing up at the sky, let's embrace who we are. Let's not forget that beauty is more than what you wear on your body or put on your face, it's a lifestyle. We can find it in ourselves if we will only look for it. It's as simple as realizing whoyou are...the real you, and learning to love that person. One thing I love about BCBGeneration is that it knows how to "embrace" that girl. It knows that women are unique and individual, and its clothing represents that.
Let this spring season remind you of what it means to "live it up," embracing life and beauty for what they truly are. And if you ever forget, BCBGeneration will remind you and so will I :) All I can say is, be you, be beautiful, and don't let anyoneever tell you otherwise.

| HERVE LEGER RUNWAY SHOW |
| FEBRUARY 27, 2010 |
|
|
Where do I even begin? I wish I knew the answer to that question as I sit here pondering my Fashion Week experience. Zoe and I had the time of our lives, and we went through a LOT to get there! From spending the day in an airport, having 3 flight cancellations, missing the BCBG runway show, to finally making it to New York. I look back at all those circumstances and see that they all had an impact on the overall experience. Because of missing the BCBG show, we were given the opportunity to attend the Herve Leger Runway Show. Wow. I have DREAMED of a moment like that for years, and right now I realize that I can officically say that I have been to New York Fashion Week. And not only that, but I went to the Herve Leger Runway Show.
Zoe and I enjoyed a few days of just visiting NY but when Feb. 14th hit, we were ready to taste what we had come for. Walking up the Byrant Park steps was insane. Cameras were flashing all around us and we were even stopped by photographers who wanted pictures of us. Inside the tent, wegot our place in line to check in to the show. All the while I'm thinking to myself...is this for real?? After taking our seats both of us sat speechless taking in everything around us. We spotted celebrities, took pictures, laughed, and smiled...it was like a dream come true. All of the sudden the lights in the room dimmed, and the music began to play as she walked out...the first model of the show. She set the tone as every outfit after that was off the chart. AMAZING andBRILLIANT are just some of the words to descirbe the collection. When the show come to a close, we applauded Mr. Azria as he stepped out. Then it was over. Brenda Li came and met us at our seats to take us backstage and show us everything. We met Max's wife and some celebrites, and got to see how the show is run. We were disapointed about not getting to meet Max, but we were still so grateful to even have this opportunity.
Walking back in to the lobby of the tent, we took pictures of everything. Yes, EVERYTHING! When we finally decided to leave, we walked out the doors and down the steps, enjoyedthose last few moments. We leftByrant Park that day, but we lefthaving a renewed sense of thebeliefthat dreams really can come true. I only know that that is not the last time that Alison Boone will attend fashion week :)

| BOYS AND SKINNY JEANS? |
| DECEMBER 6, 2009 |
|
|
So as you know, it has become a popular trend for boys to wear skinny jeans. People seem to constantly debate the topic on whether guys should wear them or not. My personal take? Well, I like them; I definately agree that not all guys can wear them, but I think it shows a sense of style for a guy to be able to wear them and make them look good. I don't like skin-tight ones on guys, but I think a degree of "skinny" in the jeans looks good.
A great example of a guy who wears them well is Zach Efron. He makes the trend look amazing, and I think that most people would agree with that. His are not too tight either. He chooses a fit that works well for him.
So my question is, what do you think??

Ali

| MY CURRENT BCBGENERATION OBSESSIONS |
| NOVEMBER 22, 2009 |
|
|
These are some of my current favorites from BCBGeneration. I am a firm believer of wearing black and white. They are basic colors that you can never go wrong with because they are always classic and chic.
I am IN LOVE with the black and white dress. It's perfect for going out for a night on the town or to a fashion event.
The jumpsuit is very sophisticated. I love how the top is similar to a corset. It gives the piece an added touch that will make you stand out wherever you go.
The romper is AMAZING. It's so fun and can be worn dressed up or dressed down. The romper is a must-have for your wardrobe because it's such a versatile piece.
Check out all the other styles from BCBGeneration. Their current collection is brilliant! I promise you'll believe in love at first sight once you see them. :)
xoxo,
Ali

| FIND YOUR FASHION FOCUS |
| NOVEMBER 15, 2009 |
|
|
Fashion is an art. It takes an eye for one to be able to wear clothing stylishly, and not everyone has that eye. However, everyone has the potential to develop an eye for it. It just takes practice.
People ask me how I choose my outfits and I tell them that I just try anything. What most people don't know is that when I first started out "trying my own thing," I failed a ton of times. My style was lacking, to say the least, but what was important is that I TRIED, and I continued to try until I achieved an ideal.
Something that I think is a great help to people who are trying to learn the art of fashion is fashion profile websites. One of my favorite sites is called chictopia.com, a fashion site that allows people to upload pictures of their personal style. It's a great place for inspiration and there are so many of those sites out there, all you need to do is start googling and you'll find them! BCBGeneration also provides great looks for you, just surf this site and you'll definitely get inspired!
Lastly, let your surroundings inspire you. Beauty is everywhere and in everything. Don't be afraid to try something that your best friend wouldn't wear. Stand out; it's a good thing. And when you choose to stand out and be different, people notice and will want to do the same.
xoxo,
Ali

| RAIN, RAIN DON'T GO AWAY, COME BACK!! |
| NOVEMBER 1, 2009 |
|
|
Forget Edward Cullen. Rain boots are what you should be thinking about when it's raining! Yes, that's right, the "it" accessory in the city of Memphis is rain boots. With all the rain we've been having the only thought on people's minds are buying rain boots. And who's to blame? They are absolutely fabulous. They come in just about every style and color.
BCBGeneration offers some amazing boots, so it's no wonder people are getting excited about rain. When you can still look THAT amazing while rain is falling down all around you, wouldn't you be happy too? :)

| FASHION NETWORKING FORUM |
| OCTOBER 20, 2009 |
|
|
We attended our school's fashion networking forum this past week and had a blast! Girls filled out surveys and received the BCBGeneration t-shirt. We also raffled off a BCBGeneration purse which everyone loved.
Before the event, we were able to get a picture with actor Brian White and he held one of our bags!! Our participation in the event was a huge success; so many people were excited to go check out BCBGeneration at their local Macy's and Dillard's.
