This week BCBGeneration introduced the contest "Fashion IT Girl" to our friends on our Face book page!! Our friends enjoyed entering the contest or voting for their favorite "Fashion It Girl"!!! As the votes soared in, we were unsure who was going to win until the ninth end. Our FIRST Fashion It Girl Alexus Murden pulled all the stops and captured everyones attention with the most votes and according to Facebook the most fashionable!Congratulations to ALEXUS MURDEN, as many of your friends stated, "you rocked it"! We look forward and anticipate next weeks contestants and winner!!!

Working with BCBGeneration has been an experience of a lifetime!
Ali and I have worked with celebrities, athletes and the
"whose-who" of Memphis. Although we enjoyed all of our experiences, the most rewarding was our latest partnership with The Memphis Chapter Of The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
There was a series of events ranging from the PINKTOBER concert to the pre-registration function, to the 5k walk and run! During the PINKTOBER concert at The Hard Rock Cafe Memphis, BCBGeneration was the HIGHLIGHT of the event! There were several people who came off of the street into the Hard Rock just to see what we were doing!! The staff at The Hard Rock were excited about our display and what we brought to the establishment! The sale and general managers are interested in partnering with us in the near future!
During the Pre-Registration for the 5k Walk and run we were allowed to set up a table that displayed BCBGeneration look books, T-Shirts, Tote, and Gym bags. The items were distributed to breast cancer survivors only . The Survivors felt extremely excited as they were "out casted" as winners receiving a prize rather than victims! They called the silver tote bags "bling/bling bags. The board members asked that we give the clutch to the volunteer of the decade and it her reaction was touching and unbelievable!! The volunteer of the year was also an survivor. Her reaction showed that she did not expect anything for her years of service. The survivor became extremely emotional and everyone else soon followed.
The Walk/Run was amazing!!! There was a section only for the survivors. The BCBGeneration handbags were stored there!! All of the survivors loved the tote bags and many of them requested the tote bag instead of the Susan G. Komen breast cancer T-shirt!!!
The Susan G. Komen breast cancer Walk/Run was BY FAR the best event I or Ali have ever been a part of. The event benefited a great cause, great people and it was a great honor to be a part of this event!

| BCBGENERATION HITS THE TUBE! |

Last week we hit the television waves! I was extremely excited to introduce BCBGeneration to the city of Memphis. The news anchors from the local morning show loved the BCBGeneration tote bags and T-shirts. The demand for BCBGeneration T-shirts from our Facebook fans rose instantly!
PS. I spotted one of the anchors at the gym wearing a BCBGeneration T-shirt! (Where's a camera when you need one?)

During the four day Urban Fashion Week in Memphis, the Universiry of Memphis BCBGeneration ambassadors raffled an exclusive BCBGeneration handbag, tote bags and the official BCBGeneration Fall 2009 t-shirts!! We had a blast and look forward to next year's event.

| THE GENESIS! |

While I don't plan to quote any Bible verses, this is definitely the genesis (or beginning) of interesting blog entries! I'm very excited and hope you enjoy them!
First, I'll introduce myself. You can call me Zoe! I'm 23 years old and I currently reside in Memphis, TN. However, I'm a spicy Cajun girl to my heart!
I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. I plan to become a CNN news journalist. I also love marketing and event planning. My favorite colors are gold and white!
My fashion style heavily depends on my mood. I choose my attire for the day based on my feelings and who I want to be that day (no I don't have split personalities :) ). I will wear everything (well almost everything) at least once! Some of my fashion icons include Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna, Michele Obama, and Jackie Kennedy!
Sometimes the media implies that it can be easy to find clothing for slim women. Where did this theory come from?! While there is a large quantity of items to choose from, it is very rare to find quality pieces. Jeans tend to fit great at the waist but continuously wipe my ankles (even when they aren't supposed to). There are a few pricy clothing lines that have the concept right, but who wants to spend $200.00 on one pair of jeans when you have books to pay for?
Women (and some men, lol) stress no more! There is now a new brand you will all love. While at my local Dillard's I noticed a new line called BCBGeneration. The clothes were really cute and the material felt great! I tried on several pieces and was relieved that finally I found a clothing line that was affordable, easily accessible and had great quality! In particular I remember a pair of black tights with zippers on them. If you have a "petite" bum and want a more fit look, these tights are your quick fix! The pockets on the back are raised so it makes you look lifted! I wore the BCBGeneration tights to a local football game and the compliments from men and women flooded in! Stop by your local Dillard's or Bloomingdale's and pick up a pair of these flattering tights!
