We all are excited for spring, and so is our skin! Makeup was made to bring color to our skin and this is the perfect time to have your cheeks glow and look peachy. It might be hard to find the perfect blush color for your skin tone, so stop by a local cosmetic counter at a department store and ask them to find you you're perfect match. Makeup can really bring together your spring fashion look, and don't be afraid to try some bright eye shadow colors as well.

BCBGeneration has great nail colors for all seasons. I love to change my manicure and pedicure colors to those that fit in with my mood and the month. Since it's now spring (March in Arizona is pretty warm), I thought it was time to lighten up my nails. I love the colors "Skinny Dip" and "treehouse" by BCBGen! One of my favorite fashion trends are blazers. Even though blazers have been on men for years, and women in the work place, they are so cute for everyday or going out. They are very versatile! I love how a blazer can dress up and make an outfit of jeans and a tank look polished and sophisticated, yet they can also be casual. BCBGeneration's spring line has a really great blazer. There are so many different styles that the blazers come in. My favorite styles are the over-sized boyfriend fit and the rolled-up sleeve blazer. Each fit works best for different bodies and styles so I recommend trying them all to see which one looks the cutest on you!

It's almost that time of year again...time to give and get gifts! I love shopping for gifts for all my friends and family. Some great gift ideas for friends are scented candles,a gift card for a mani/pedi, or some cute cocktail/wine glasses. For parents and siblings try finding out what they would like. If you know their style, clothes are always a great gift!
While you're giving this year why not give to people less fortunate. Collect and wrap presents to donate to a local hospital or shelter, or donate cans and goods to a soup kitchen. Tight on cash? How about donating your time. Volunteering is always a great way to give and feel good about yourself as well.

College is the perfect time to indulge your fashion sense and to experiment with what trends and styles work best for your body and lifestyle.
Tips to keep in mind:
- Clothes that are versatile are key, especially when you're on a budget. I find myself buying pieces like tanks/blouses with nice detailing that can be dressed up or down. A great blouse can be paired with dark jeans and heels for a party, or dressed up with a cardigan for work. You could even wear the same blouse to school if you pair it with comfortable jeans or leggings.
- Splurge on staple pieces that will be in style and last for years. Try not to splurge on trendy items; this way you get the most wear in for your buck.
- Wear what works for you- Some trends are not meant for every body type or every style. Pick and choose to wear trends that fit in your style and your comfort zone.

| IN-STORE EVENT AT MACY'S FASHION SQUARE |

This weekend Alex and I attended the in-store event at the Macy's in Scottsdale Fashion Square. We wore BCBGeneration outfits and passed out fliers and stickers/buttons to shoppers. Everyone loved the clothes, the music and snacks!
My new favorite BCBGeneration dress is pictured above- I love the back detailing and how it adds spice to the 'little black dress." BCBGeneration has so many great pieces that can be dressed up or down- one of the great staple wardrobe pieces I also saw was the mini black skirt pictured above. It can go with anything!

This weekend was Halloween, and what a fun Halloween it was! I saw so many crazy, fun, scary, and awesome costumes. My friend and I decided to dress as Tom Cruise in Risky Business one night and 'Where's Waldo' the second night!
Halloween costumes can be easily made on a budget. Just stop by a craft store and pick up fabric and accessories, or ask your friends if they have any costumes from the year before that you could wear this year! Not enough time to do either of those? Go through your closet. If you have anything in army print, black and dark green, you can piece it together and be an army girl. Or put on some skinny black jeans, heels and big jewelry and voila!...you're a rocker chick.

Leggings are a great staple for any wardrobe. They can be worn at different lengths and colors, with an oversized shirt for class or running around town. Or, you can dress them up with a fitted long shirt and a pair of pumps.
They are the perfect transition piece for fall and winter, especially when you live in Arizona! I like to wear leggings in the winter with boots and a sweater.
Celebrities have been adding glam to leggings by wearing them with great flats and heels in various colors.

Ever since a young age, I have loved lip gloss. I would collect them and barely use them because I was simply hooked on the packaging, the smell and colors! Now I still hold onto my obsession and collection of lip glosses but I actually use them. :)
My top 3 favorite lip glosses are:
1. Lancome's Juicy Tube
2. Kiehls
3. Labello (which unfortunately you can't find in the US)
I recommend those 3 to anyone who likes a light lip gloss with a nice scent and moisture to them.

| DOWNTOWN ASU EVENT |

Last week Alex and I ventured to the downtown Phoenix campus where ASU has new buildings and dorms for journalism and nursing majors. This campus is a 30 minute ride on the light-rail from the main ASU campus in Tempe and it's right in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
We passed out shirts to a ton of girls who were so excited to get the free goodies and asked about the BCBGeneration brand! I go downtown for school two days a week, and I didn't even realize how many students go there now; it keeps getting busier.
We can't wait to have even more events and spread the BCBGeneration love!

| NIGHTLIFE FASHION TRENDS AT ASU |

The weather around ASU in mid-September is still really hot during the day (in the 90's-100's). So, students like myself still wear flip flops, shorts, summer dresses, v-neck t-shirts, etc.
Going out at night, when the weather is a little bit cooler, is when I find the fashion on campus really showcased. Short skirts and high-waisted skirts with tucked-in blouses are all the rage. Short dresses in floral prints are also really popular, much like the BCBGeneration dress I saw Lauren Conrad wearing!
I personally love the current fashion trend, because I think it's flattering for every body type and brings out a more young and sexy, yet sophisticated look.
